Ultimate Blog Challenge

Inspired by some of my favourite bloggers, and looking for a challenge, I've decided to try out the Ultimate Blog Challenge.  I think I must be mad, and I'll undoubtedly drive all my subcribers mad (sorry guys) but the idea is to post once a day throughout the month of July.

challengePlease bear with me; it won't last, one month at best and then I'll be back to normal.  It's just a whim, something I want to do as a personal challenge though the first week is going to be difficult as it's the busiest time of the year for me!  Nothing like adding a bit of extra stress into my life.  I hope I get inspired and find things to write about and don't just post inane ramblings to complete the challenge.  This remains to be seen.

The thing is, this week is the final week of getting our house ready to rent out.  I have 5 days left to transform a messy family home into a sophisticated, and above all clean, holiday villa. Let me explain - over the next few weeks we won't just be running a gîte but a large holiday villa that sleeps 11.  Everything needs to be shipshape, minimalised, de-personalised and sparkling.  Windows have to be washed, bed linen ironed, oven cleaned (ugh!) and all those little jobs that build up over the year need to be attended to.  So obviously I need something else to do like a poke in the eye with a hot stick.  Eh voila!  A blog challenge!  Wish me luck (I must admit I don't hold out much hope that I'll actually manage it but I'll be happy with several posts a week instead of my usual one).

Even after making a list of over 30 topics to blog about, I still find myself with writers block :) So glad I don't have to blog every day all year round.
I look forward to seeing what other topics you come up with.

If we weren't that busy, it wasn't a challenge :)
I'm sure you can do it! Best of luck, I'm waiting to see how the villa looks after all the cleaning :)

    Hey Phoebe!
I enjoyed reading your blog and scanning through your site! I'm like you, I hope to find inspiration, rather than just rambling just to get it done. Good luck my friend, and I look forward to reading and chatting with you over the coming days!

I completley understand your challenge. I actually write five blogs out over two days and have the time hard scheduled into my calendar. That way I never a miss a time to get them done and I don't have to stress. I have a topical blog calendar built out so I know what I'm going to write about. Then, when I'm out and about or meeting with people I'm always thinking of ways to incorporate ideas into new blogs.

I'm looking forward to reading your posts.

Wow, 5 blogs in 2 days is impressive. Well done. I'm not sure I could ever be that organised. Thanks for commenting Donpurdum.

With all that you have to do to get the place ready it sounds like it could provide you with great content to blog about.

Do not get discouraged. Be open to the possibilities this challenge will bring. Do not apologize for doing it. It could turn out to be a life changing event.

I like your writing style. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for your encouraging words Missy. I only apologise because my regular readers are not used to me posting so much, but you're right, I shouldn't. Hopefully they'll enjoy what I have to say over the next few weeks. :)
