    Funny that you see this as grim Catherine, I love this sign. Perhaps I cut out too much of the rest of the photo and it comes across differently to how I expected.

    A good window. And what do you suppose was the background of the Riviera Food Company? A co-op. A state enterprise during the Vichy regime? Sounds rather monolithic for a local shop.

    I don't know Richard, it certainly does sound a bit grandiose for a small village but I've never thought about looking into its history. Perhaps I should.
