There's a reason why they get paid a lot, I could never do it. Too scared of heights!

Interesting it says silence to you as when the guy was actually cutting with the chainsaw it was very noisy. But when not cutting, like here, it was wonderfully peaceful in comparison!

    Phoebe Tuesday, 11 February 2014

We are surrounded by very tall pine trees with very shallow roots which fall down too easily and too often. Unfortunately we felt 4 were too close to the house after one fell on us recently and smashed the terrace and another one narrowly missed so they had to go. The thing is you can't just chop at the bottom and shout "timber" as the garden is full of other things that need to be protected, so this very clever tree surgeon took these huge trees down bit by bit.

Goodness, that does looking awfully high! I expect though, the gentleman is used to doing it and is not bothered by the height at all! Amazing photo!

You're right, he seems totally at ease high in the trees, it's pretty impressive watching him.

Blimey - that is one brave person. Simon does some climbing when chainsawing but said he'd not do that!

It's pretty terrrifying to watch Rosie. This guy cut down 4 like this in our garden over the weekend in rain and wind too!
