The Lou Messugo Blog - life in the south of France from a British/Australian TCK's perspective, bringing you French culture, travel on the Côte d'Azur and beyond, expat issues and a little bit of je ne sais quoi all mixed up with a hefty dose of photography.
Bonjour and welcome to the 23rd All About France monthly link up all about France! You’re in the right place if you’re looking to link up a blog post, get some holiday inspiration or just have a read about your favourite country, France!
How it's already December is beyond me....I am not mentally prepared for Christmas and actually not even feeling like I want to be! Usually by the time December starts I'm ready to espouse the festive spirit, but despite having been to a couple of marchés de noël I seem to have lost my Christmas mojo. I'm hoping you'll inspire me with some fun seasonal posts and equally I hope you enjoy my old one on French customs at Christmas.
I debated linking up 24 reasons to love Christmas in France, a post I put together last year with the participation of many regulars from #AllAboutFrance as it was published after last year's December link-up and many of you won't have seen it. But then many of you have as you helped write it so I thought I wouldn't, but as this is my linky and the article is so wonderfully positive I'm just going to slip it in here anyway for anyone who's interested! If you're an expat in France missing Christmas at home do take a look at it as it'll help remind you of all the lovely things about noël en France.
While in this uncharacteristic funk (I'll call it post holiday, post Vietnam blues) I'm afraid I didn't get around to working out the top commenter this month. Please inspire me with loads and loads of lovely comments and shares this month, be generous in the spirit of the season! Thanks to everyone who linked up last time, here are some of my favourites (it's always so hard to choose!) If you haven't already read them I hope you'll pop over and have a squizz.

All About France is a monthly blog linky, linking up blog posts about France. These posts can be freshly scribbled or from your archives as a way of bringing new life to an old article. There is no date limit and the only rule for subject matter is that it is about France in some way. This can mean French language, French food, French style, French literature, expat life in France, French expats abroad or travel in France among other things. The linky opens on the 1st Thursday of each month and stays open for a week.
• You can link up one post, old or new as long as it's about France/French.• Please make sure you include the All About France badge at the bottom of your post or in the sidebar of your blog, or a hyper-link back to me (the code is below).• Please comment on the host's posts and at least two others, the more the merrier. Blog linkys only work if you're generous with your comments and shares.• Please use the hashtag #AllAboutFrance when sharing on social media.• Don't forget you can join the Pinterest board and pin your post to it for extra exposure.

I think a lot of people were very busy...it's that time of year. I look forward to seeing you back again in 2017 and bonnes fêtes to you too.
Salut! I've only just discovered your fabulous blog. I've been writing my blog for two years as a result of my ongoing love affair with France. My ultimate dream was fulfilled when we bought a house in SW France, this summer. We will be dividing our time between the UK and France. I'm looking forward to reading the other blogs through the link up - which I hope I've done correctly! June.
Hi June, thanks for joining in, happy to have you here and good luck with your new house. It looks like you've done everything right for the linky btw!!
I'm so happy you invited me to take part in the linkup! It's always nice to look at everyone's contributions and see how wonderful France is!
Lisa, you're welcome every month, please come back again!
I very much enjoyed the mistletoe blog. We have tried to grow it many times but it never works
Margo always writes about unusual and interesting subjects Catherine, I'm glad you liked her post. How do you even go about trying to grow mistletoe?
Thank you so much for featuring my post! This linky's perfect for me, as I love all things French...
My pleasure Nell, let's hope you keep taking holidays to France so you can keep writing about them for us! (Of course there's always our lovely Lou Messugo which sleeps 4!!!)
Thanks for inviting me to join in Phoebe! I've added my link and will get into my comments now :-) Just one question, how do I join the Pinterest group?
