All About France #7

Welcome to the 7th All About France the monthly link up all about France! If you're a blogger and this is your first time here you might want to find out more here. If you're simply visiting my blog for a read then I hope you enjoy all the posts about France; you'll find plenty more here.   If you're a regular, thank you for your support!

All About France blog linky with Lou Messugo

This will be a short post from me as I'm writing it weeks before the date, in order to schedule while I'm on holiday.  For this reason it may take me some time to get around to reading and commenting on all the posts linked up, so bear with me.  I'm sure I'm not the only person on holiday, far from home and trying to switch off for a while.  I'll be trying to limit my social media to Instagram and very little else, so if you want to know where I am, follow me here!

A coupe of posts stood out for me last month, Thien Lan's Top 4 Asian restaurants in Paris just cried out to me, having lived in Asia and Paris for many years.  I also loved Di's description of her far from "sleepy village" life in sleepy villages are never boring.  Do pop over and have a read if you haven't already.

As well as my series on far-flung France I'm now running one on local beaches and have linked up the latest today.  Please pop over and show it some love!

Finally I have something to admit to you.  I lost pretty much all the comments posted on last month's link-up and all posts I've written in the past couple of months owing to an update that went horribly wrong.  I nearly lost the whole link-up but manaed to manualy restore it and some of the comments.  I also lost all my hits/views and SEO stats which is pretty depressing.  The issue with the update hasn't been resolved, I had to go back to an older version and use everything that had been backed up....Here's a big lesson to me and anyone else who's a bit slack about backing up...DO IT!  If I had backed up more recently I wouldn't have lost everything.  BACK UP as often as possible!  I learnt the hard way.

Bref, (as they say around here), back to this month's link up: here's a little reminder of how it all works and those pesky rules which are necessary to enforce in order that we all get the most out of it.

• You can link up one or two posts, old or new as long as they're about France/French.
• Please make sure you include the All About France badge at the bottom of your post or on the sidebar, or a hyper-link back to me.
• Please comment on my post and at least two others, the more the merrier. Blog linkys only work if you're generous with your comments and shares.
• Don't forget I'll RT your tweets using the hashtag #AllAboutFrance and any links copied to @FibiTee.
• And don't forget you can pin your post to the Pinterest board for extra exposure.

It's a bit harder to link stuff up with France now that we are discovering Oslo!

    Hi Phoebe

Hope you are having a great holiday. I added a more personal post of mine this time, my experience with the repatriation to Nice, my first ever return to the same place!

Hi Phoebe, Hope you are enjoying [have enjoyed] your holiday. You have my real sympathy over the technical hiccup and the loss of so much data - thank goodness you were able to retrieve some of it though. We take all this marvellous modern way of communicating for granted now and it's a salutary lesson for us to learn that things can go wrong and therefore to Backup. Loving the All About France and looking forward to reading many of this months contributions - do hope my 'French link' is not too tenuous this time!

Even tenuous links are welcome, especially from Francophiles like yourself! I'm trying to remember to back up more often now!!

I was nervous that the wifi in the apartment I'd booked wouldn't be up to running the link up, but it worked! However, I've taken forever to get around to reading all the links and commenting...holidays do tend to take over! Thanks for your kind words Melodie.
