The Lou Messugo Blog - life in the south of France from a British/Australian TCK's perspective, bringing you French culture, travel on the Côte d'Azur and beyond, expat issues and a little bit of je ne sais quoi all mixed up with a hefty dose of photography.
Welcome to the 6th All About France the monthly link up all about France! If you're a blogger and this is your first time here you might want to find out more here. If you're simply visiting my blog for a read then I hope you enjoy all the posts about France; you'll find plenty more here.
Thank you to all who joined in last month, we seem to be building up a lovely community of Francophone bloggers and it's great to see nearly everyone come back month after month, along with new faces each time. It's hugely satisfying for me to see my little project so well received.
Here are my favourite posts from last month, I recommend you check them out if you haven't already.20:20 vision from Lost in Lyon, Notes from the battlefields from Agatha Bertram, Love where you live - Cabourg from Trilingual Mama and Fitzgerald's footsteps from The Old Duck.
June is always a crazy month full of fêtes, festivals, farewells and fun (the last two aren't mutually exclusive). If you want to read more about any of those things just click on the brown highlighted words. I'm being brief this time as this is my busiest time of year and I hate to say it but I'm a little snowed under. Not literally of course as we're currently "enjoying" a heatwave of temperatures around 40°c - which I'm sure plenty of you are too, it seems to be across most of Europe. The pool is the best place for us right now!
Today I'm linking up one of the guest posts in my current series about "far-flung France" to entice you away from la Metropole. Did you know France has the most time zones of any country in the world? Find out more below! I'm also linking an oldie about le quatorze juillet, seeing as it's coming up. I hope you like them.
Finally here's a little reminder of how a linky works and those pesky rules it's necessary to enforce in order that we all get the most out of it.
• You can link up one or two posts, old or new as long as they're about France/French.• Please make sure you include the All About France badge at the bottom of your post or on the sidebar, or a hyper-link back to me.• Please comment on my post and at least two others, the more the merrier. Blog linkys only work if you're generous with your comments and shares.• Don't forget I'll RT your tweets using the hashtag #AllAboutFrance and any links copied to @FibiTee.• And don't forget you can pin your post to the Pinterest board for extra exposure.

How I wish I had a lovely pool to jump into now - I really miss the south of France at this time of year (even when it's hot in the UK), enjoy it all for me....
Love the pool jump photo! I can't wait to get to my parents' house in California so I can do the same everyday! Especially loving the France posts as I'm stateside until August. Keep up the great work, Phoebe!
Happy to link-up again after the little hiatus! Now that my move is over and things have calmed down a little, I'm back and looking forward to reading these posts on France. I miss France so much, and I'm thrilled to get the opportunity to return to Paris at the end of the month for a dear friend's wedding!
So glad to have you back, I hope you'll keep linking up for months, while ever you still have archival material to post! That way you can keep your finger in the French pie (or should that be tarte?!)
This is one of my favorite link ups! So look forward to reading French focused posts
Hello. Feeling a little reflective after nearly 6 months back, so I dug up a post written just before leaving Singapore about what I would miss and what I was looking forward to in Nice. I need to write my "6 months later" post about what was true and what wasn't
Thanks so much for hosting this linkup. Happy to be a part of it ;-)
What a great idea!
The BEST OF FRANCE team is planning a large event to promote France in New York in September and we've just launch a blog to share what is the best France has to offer. We would like to invite bloggers to post on our blog on different subjects: Gastronomy, Fashion & Beauty, French Tech, Savoir-Faire, Art de vivre... If you would spread the word, it would be fantastic!
What a great way to learn more about this lovely country.
Well done Phoebe. I'm sorry you had the aggro but I'm pleased I'm not losing the plot completely!! Looking forward to some reading here in the UK rain!
I'm having a "senior moment". Have got a free day or two [following a hectic few weeks!] and want to read the July 'linkys' - and can't find my way into them! Old age is a terrible thing!
Help please. Lisa
Lisa, you're not having a senior moment, my blog was attacked by some nasty bug and I'm afraid I've lost all the links to this linkup and all comments from the last 3 blogs I've written (plus all viewing figures etc). I've only just got the blog back up and running and I will try and manually re-link everyone if I can find a way, but not till next week as this is the busiest week of the year for me with rentals. I've learnt a lesson...BACK UP!!! I hadn't backed up the last 3 which is why I lost them! Now I will back up every couple of days....I am so sorry about this and I will be writing to everyone who took part to explain.
Yippeee!! I managed to get them all back, it was much easier than I thought, so Lisa, you should be able to have a read now! Sorry about that!
