All About France #5

Welcome to All About France the monthly link up all about France! If you're a blogger and this is your first time here you might want to find out more here.  If you're a reader coming across this for the first time then I hope you enjoy all the posts about France; you'll find plenty more here.

All About France blog linky with Lou Messugo

Last month's link up was another great success, thank you to all who joined in, I really love reading all the different and interesting things everyone chooses to share.  As always it's hard to single out just a few of the wonderful posts linked up but here are 4 that caught my eye...

Rebecca from Cote Abode had me chuckling with her spot on tips on how to blend in like a local on the Riviera.  Living on the Riviera too I loved her observations and completely agreed with them. Betty's view of rural life in La France Profonde is always original and beautifully photographed.  This week she focused on old signs and abandoned buildings which got many of us thinking and noticing the not-so-scenic.  Two posts about visiting Paris with children struck a chord as I have lived in and since visited Paris with my kids many times and yet still found new things to do thanks to Farrah at The Three Under in Seeking Space Invaders with kids and Eolia in Multicultural Kid Blogs's 10 Tips for travelling in Paris with kids.  (As an aside if you have a multilingual or multicultural family you really should read Multicultural Kid Blogs where along with Eolia and plenty of others, I am a contributing member, it's full of useful advice, interesting articles, cultural observations and much more).

Don't forget there's a group Pinterest Board for All About France where I'd love to see more contributors. If you're on Pinterest and you'd like to join in, follow me by clicking this link (their rules not mine, I can't invite you if you don't) and either leave a message here with your Pinterest handle or send me an email so I can add you.

This month I had a great time writing a guest post all about Provençal food and would love to write more if anyone's interested.  The series on far-flung France is going well.  I have published 3 fascinating and varied guest posts and have 3 more posts waiting in the wings, but still very happy to have more contributions if you have visited any of the French DOM-TOMs and would like to write for me.

Back to the linky: don't forget there are some rules.  Please don't just link up and run and please don't forget to link back to me. As with all blog link-ups it works best when everybody reads, comments on and shares as many of the other posts linked up as possible (please, try for 2 as a minimum).  Don't forget I like comments on my linked post and here too!

Feel free to use the hashtag #AllAboutFrance when sharing on social media as this gets us all seen even more - I will retweet tweets using it or if you mention me (@FibiTee). Full details of the link-up can be found here. As always it'll be open for a whole week and the next one will be in a month's time on Thursday July 2nd, which will be the penultimate day of school for those of us with primary school kids in France - where has this school year gone?  (My lycéen will have been on holiday for 2 weeks by then, which is crazy!)

Thank you for inviting me to join in your fab linky. I am sorry I am so lacking in 'France' related posts! But hopefully next year, this will be rectified :)

Hi Phoebe and thank you so much for the mention! I am kind of "emerging" after going to London for 4 days, back to work for 3, and now waking up with some sort of "gastro" (OK, that's too much information but I'm feeling ever so sorry for myself!) The positive side is I may not feel up to much more than enjoying the #AllAboutFrance blogs this weekend!

It's fab isn't it, how we all tackle different subjects and yet have France in common. Glad to have you back Sal.

My post must be a bit polemic, but it is also nice to see the other side of Paris!

I agree Allane, this isn't all about perfection and beauty, France does have its fair share of ugliness! Pleased to have you here.
