The Lou Messugo Blog - life in the south of France from a British/Australian TCK's perspective, bringing you French culture, travel on the Côte d'Azur and beyond, expat issues and a little bit of je ne sais quoi all mixed up with a hefty dose of photography.
Welcome to All About France the monthly link up all about France! If you're a blogger and this is your first time here you might want to find out more here. If you're a reader coming across this for the first time then I hope you enjoy all the posts about France; you'll find plenty more here.
Last month's link up saw many familiar faces return and plenty of new blogs too - exactly as I like it! Thank you everyone who joined in, I get great pleasure reading all your fabulous posts. Choosing just a few as highlights is always difficult but anyone who knows me is going to know that a post about apéro time is always going to be a winner as it's something very close to my heart, (thank you Taste of Savoie)! Which meant I also empathised with and loved reading covert recycling mission from Sommelier Chef! The Curious Rambler hit the nail on the head too with Easter chocolate, something else I'm rather fond of. All very glutonous this time I think you'll find....
Since last month I've started a group Pinterest board where bloggers linking up can further promote their posts. Readers may also find it an easy visual way to explore the different articles that have been written about France and linked to #AllAboutFrance. I've got the board off to a start by pinning something from everyone who's participated so far (I hope! Please shout if I missed you!) and now it's your turn. If you're a pinner and you'd like to join this board, follow me on Pinterest (Pinterest's rules not mine, I can't invite you if you don't) and either leave a message here with your Pinterest handle or send me an email so I can add you. Group boards are an excellent way of driving traffic to your blog and I hope lots of you join in.
In another development this month I've started what I hope will become a series on "far-flung France". I am looking for bloggers who have visited or lived in any of the French DOM-TOMS and who would like to contribute to this series in a guest post. Please leave a comment below or get in touch through the contact page if you can help me. You can see the first in the series here.
Today I'm linking up 2 of my posts as they are both relevant to the month of May. Firstly you'll find a post about a lesser known side of Cannes to tie in with the film festival which is about to start and secondly a post explaining the multitude of public holidays we have in France during May. And it is thanks to one of these holidays that I'll be going to Italy for a few days immediately after this linky opens. There is wifi where we're staying but I might not be on it the whole time...sorry! I will definitely read and comment on all posts linked up, but may just be a little slower than usual.
Back to the linky: please don't forget the dreaded rules. It's boring to have to say this but there are still people who seem to think they can just link up and run and others who don't link back to me. This is not fair on other participants, nor me as the organiser and it does no one any favours least of all yourself. As with all blog link-ups it works best when everybody reads, comments on and shares as many of the other posts linked up as possible (please, try for 2 as a minimum). If you don't know what I'm going on about first read the rules and if still stuck, then email me!
Don't forget to use the hashtag #AllAboutFrance when sharing on social media as this gets us all seen even more - I will retweet tweets using it or if you mention me (@FibiTee). Full details of the link-up can be found here. As always it'll be open for a whole week and the next one will be in a month's time on Thursday June 4th.

Yay Phoebe! I love these links...just gives me that many more things to do in France!
Yay Corinne! So happy to have you here again.
I'm very excited about this 4th linkup because I've found so many interesting posts through it. Thanks for organizing it!
I am a Pinterest neophyte and am probably doing everything wrong on it, but my handle is @bcinfrance.
I actually joined Pinterest right when it started (under some other, long-forgotten account) and it was very strange, I truly didn't know what to do with it. I see now how it is developed and am enjoying it when I have a little time to kill on my cell phone§
I started Pinterest right at the beginning when you had to be invited to join too. Then I kind of forgot about it and now I'm back into it in a big way. It can be a very good way to drive traffic to your blog as long as you pin consistently and often. Glad you're enjoying the link-up Betty.
Hey, added a guest post from my blog about food & fun on the French Riviera, in Monaco and just over the border
On Pinterest I am at @DMC1982Nice like on Twitter
Hope to see you pinning lots of pretty images Danielle!
Great idea, Phoebe.
Thanks for inviting me to join. xx
Glad you joined in!
Thanks for hosting, I've linked up for the first time. x
Excellent, thank you Liz! Happy to see you here.
My Pinterest handle is @laurenahudson, thanks for setting this up! Lauren xx
My pleasure Lauren, I look forward to seeing your pins!
